CHARACTER BACKGROUND

Taehyung was born into a fate of happiness and wishful promises. His family were fairly well off and prosperous , owning a several companies and was immensely being looked after by the society, every single move was being watched and appraised under watching eyes , both envy and jaundiced with the flaunt of luxury.

Barely hitting the age of three, his life was drastically changed , fate sagged and reversal of fortune happened. His family was breaking and drifting apart little by little , his once loving father turned into indescribable monster, falling into the trap of seduction and temptation set by another woman -- who was no other person than his own secretary, affairs finally exposed and revealed after being hidden for long.

Abuse became a permanent scar on his young self, defenseless and weak to protect himself from onslaught of hits and anger directed towards at him, wondering if he ever did something wrong to rouse such anger and detest from his own father, profusely muttering broken syllable of apologies and the call for his father.


Unable to stand such abuse , his mother ran away from home in hope of searching for a better life , the small boy looked up at his mother questionably with whines bubbling from his throat, hunger and exhaustion starting to consume him -- failed to discern a faint note of weariness and sadness in his mother’s voice , silently cooing at him to keep silent in the middle of cold , harsh night, whispering broken promises of a better tomorrow.


Fate seemed to be merciless on them , loan sharks keeping trace of them, tracking their address and stepping in front of their shabby apartment every night to claim the money that his father owned. Nightmares struck their entire beings every time a knock resonated within the empty spaces, being huddled together closely in the closet and clinging for the last strand of hope.


One day , his mother left him to stay with his grandfather, a small bar of chocolate in his grip as his mother leaned forward to kiss his forehead, ineffable look on her face. The young boy paid no attention towards it, happily munching on the chocolate -- a rare treat for him to get due to their condition.


“ Mom will be back soon. Be a good boy towards your grandpa and remember that I always and forever love you “


Foolishly, he held on to such words, waiting patiently for the time of her arrival. Days turned into months and months faded into years-- there’s no traces of her at all. His grandfather took him under his wings , supporting a child that was deemed to be cursed, which didn’t go through without the protest of his mother’s siblings and the detest of the society. Only after Taehyung turned fifteen that he knew, his mother had sacrificed herself in order for him to has a better life, thinking it was better for her to carry all of the burden alone as long as her son grew and lived a happy life.

18 was the age when he first tasted fame and luxury. It started with a hobby to cope with his anger management issues, photographing and drawing to fill the void in his heart. An empty canvas was the only place for him to pour his thought and emotion, chasing the darkness away from clouding his mind. Taehyung was ecstatic and far above the cloud when he was given opportunity to have his own exhibition. Slowly he made his way up step by step, cherishing every single memories with his mother and used it as his motivation, refusing to be a disappointment towards his grandfather who single-handedly raised him for years and accepted him when he hit the lowest.


At the age of 22, he finally had his own exhibition ‘ VANTE ‘ which paintings were dedicated for his family - mother and grandfather , getting the recognition that he knew he deserves after such a long time. And this time , no one is holding him back from his dream and happiness. He is now, unbreakable.

Ever since he was little , love was a strange thing to him. He has no other place to share his feelings rather than his blank canvas and old camera. He will be forever grateful if someone shows up in his life to call as a brother despite not being blood-related.



Happiness or misery ?
Someone from his past decided to show up on his door one day , saying he knew who Vante really is. Will he be there to congratulate him for his success or being there to dig up his pain once again
